Farewell From Narrandera
There was worry in the Shire for word had gotten ‘round
The building inspector had done a runner – a replacement to be found
For the coast our John was heading – what’s he thinking silly man
Why leave Narrandera for sun, surf and sand?
Time to galvanise into action and a suitable person to find
An interim measure, Neil Smith, arrived in the nick of time.
He dazzled us with expertise, his wit, his charm & smile
His renditions of “Happy Birthday” always went that extra mile
But I reckon if you upset him you’d be trembling with fear
‘Cause look out from behind he’d pack a mean kick to the rear.
He sweetened us with lollies that had us eating out of his hand,
But alas the dream has finished, Neil is returning to Junee land.
As as he heads of into the east towing the Loveshack behind
We can all lament that never a nicer bloke to find.
We will miss his sense of humour, his singing and his rhyme
Don’t forget to visit Neil, when you have some extra time.

Recently, Narrandera Council was in need of the services of a person with experiences in the field of health, building and planning matters. Contact was made with Mr Neil Smith of Building and Environmental Services Today (B.E.S.T.) who arranged for such a person to fill this role.This person was provided in a timely manner with the result that no disruption to service was experienced.
The additional advice that has been provided by B.E.S.T. above that contracted has been extremely beneficial to Council and greatly appreciated.
